Also, by staying cooped at home all the time they are also de-valuing themselves in some way or another. And when a person de-values himself, he would suffer a blow to his self-confidence and this would turn into him being afraid of social situations.
Are you currently afraid of public places?
If you are currently afraid of public places, then this could highly mean that you are suffering from this phobia. By being afraid of public places, I mean being afraid of using public toilets, taking public transport, or even just taking the lift with another stranger you do not know.
All of these may seem really simple and ridiculous, but they are actually all signs and symptoms of social phobia. If you are currently suffer from any of these symptoms, then you should definitely find a cure for social anxiety as soon as possible.

There have been a lot of studies which show that intelligent people seem to fail socially more than the average person. If you currently know that you are smarter than the average person or just like to see things in a very different perspective from them, then you can be sure you are slightly disadvantaged when it comes to being social. Fret not though, for this is something that can be fixed as long as you are willing to put the effort and hard work into it.
Learning how to cope with social phobia can be something as simple as learning how to regain back your lost confidence most of the time. There is nothing to be ashamed of if you suffer from this disorder, the more important thing is to learn how to cope with it as soon as possible before the condition worsens.
